This noren was made through shibori, a technique in tying up fabric under tension before being immersed in an indigo bath to dye the cloth blue. The effect it has hanging in a doorway is especially lovely through sunlight, accentuating the contrasting panels, one a geometric pattern created from folding into a triangle, and the other, created by sewing squares and circles through various tying techniques.

This four piece curtain was woven with multiple warp colours and hemmed at the ends to allow for a gentle draping at each panel. As a shorter-length piece, it is made for a focal feature that can fit above a side table or sitting space.

This multicoloured scarf is reminiscent of fish scales through the variety of coloured thread along the warp then interwoven with black to create its pattern, made further unique through its tassels.
