‘Duvet’, 2023 32cm x 12xm x 5cm

This piece is made through the lost wax bronze method, by which the figure was initially sculpted through wax, then fired in a kiln to create a negative mould, and filled with molten bronze. While this particular project made only one result, the characteristics of its wax process allow for multiple editions through the use of plaster casting and has elicited many upcoming sculptural projects.

This piece, similar to the optical distortions of my printmaking and drawings, displays draping fabric, but was a precursor to my textile work.
